Tips and Unlockables
Easy money/stocks, maxing skills, costumes and easter eggs.
1.Easy Money and Stocks
- Armored trucks: ~$5,000 from the blue-dot armored trucks; kill the guard before he enters, or drive the truck into water to pop the rear doors.
- Stock market (Lester missions): Destroying a company's assets raises its rival's stock. Invest in the rival first (e.g. destroy AirEmu planes → FlyUS rises).
- Underwater money: After two characters, get $12,000 from the crashed plane at Paleto Bay; switch characters and back to respawn it.
2.Maxing Skills
Buy plenty of pistol ammo, get on top of a moving bus and stomp-jump (move back and forth); once strength is 100, shoot the middle of the bus until shooting is 100 (~10 minutes).
3.Costumes and Vehicles
- Alternate costumes: Complete the final main-story mission (the three characters' stealth/guard/police outfits). 100% completion for all shirts.
- Space Docker: Collect all 50 spaceship parts and complete the side mission.
- Epsilon Tractor: Complete the Epsilon quest with Michael.
- Hot Rod ATV: Complete all story missions with Trevor.
- Ammu-Nation discount: Bronze/Silver/Gold on Gun Range challenges → 10%/15%/25% discount.
4.Tips and Easter Eggs
- Free vehicle repair: Store the car in a garage and leave with another; or switch characters and immediately switch back.
- Race start: Hold LB while unarmed during the countdown — you start ahead when it ends.
- Jaws Easter Egg (Out of Your Depth): Head out to sea on a jet ski/boat; when the red radar dot bounces off you, dive under — a great white eats you.
- Red Dead Redemption reference: A grave on the mountain looks the same as the important grave in RDR.
