Tips and weapons for Prey (2017).
1.Shotgun
Requires the Security Office keycard; in I.T. Security on the first floor grab the keycard on the left, return to the Lobby ground and enter the Security Office next to the stairs. The shotgun sits on the table; a book beside it hints at the safe with the shotgun-shell fabrication plan.
2.Q-Beam Laser Weapon
Go to the Hardware Labs machine shop, head outside and repair the Breach Failsafe on the right (Repair Level 2 required). Back inside, enter the breached section via the Atrium second floor, use the computer to open the testing range and grab the Q-Beam (a concentrated particle beam that makes targets explode). For ammo you need the Q-Beam Cells fabrication plan: in Deep Storage (reached naturally mid-story), in a safe in the command center (top-right corner); the code is on a note pinned behind Danielle Sho's computer screen.
3.Nullwave Transmitter
Essential for defeating Nightmares. Enter Life Support via the Cargo bay, go to the Atmosphere Control Room and find the maintenance shaft in the back-right corner. Use the Gloo Cannon to reach the Oxygen Flow Control Room, read the note for the storage room code. Return to the starting room, use the grav shaft past the electric floor (a Nightmare may wait below). The storage room is just right of the grav shaft; the fabrication plan is in a closet. The Nullwave Transmitter disables Nightmares.
4.Artemis Golden Pistol
Unlocks the 'Golden Gun' side quest. On the Arboretum station, find Marietta Kyrkos's corpse and take the TranScribe and Keycard. Listening to the TranScribe triggers the quest. Go to the Crew Quarters (accessed during 'Gathering Echoes'); the keycard opens a cabin, and the safe code comes from the TranScribe. The safe holds the Artemis Golden Pistol.
5.Infinite Materials Exploit
Recycling machines turn unwanted items into crafting materials. A duplication that works only on materials: put the material to duplicate (best a stack of 10) into the machine and split them inside — one per slot. The middle monitor shows your duplication gain. Run the machine and collect the duplicated materials on the right.
