Character and Costume Unlocks
Shinnok, Triborg's Cyber Sub-Zero variation and alternate costume unlocks.
1.Characters
- Shinnok: Complete Story mode.
- Cyber Sub-Zero (Triborg variation): Select Triborg at character select, then press Up, Up, Triangle (Y on Xbox) at the Variation screen — Triborg turns blue (LK-520).
- No variation play: At the Variation screen press Up, Up, Triangle to play with no variation moves.
2.Alternate Costumes (selection)
Complete the given task to unlock a costume:

| Sub-Zero (Revenant) | Complete all 10 Test Your Might stages |
| Kung Lao (Revenant) | Win 30 matches in King Of The Hill |
| Liu Kang (Revenant) | Win 10 ranked matches in a row |
| Mileena (Kahnum) | Survive 20 rounds in the Endless Tower as Mileena |
| Raiden (Future) | Log into your WBPlay account |
| Kitana / Mileena / Jax / Johnny Cage (Klassic, etc.) | Progress through the Mortal Kombat X mobile app |
3.Costumes from the Krypt
Costumes are found at specific Krypt coordinates (some bought with koins): Cassie Cage (-1,10), Ermac (-21,9), Jax (-19,8), Raiden Dark (-1,14; 10 koins), Kano (-15,19; 2,300 koins), etc.
