How to unlock each survivor normally.
Unlocking survivors normally in Risk of Rain 2.

| Huntress | Beat 3 levels in a row (finishing via the blue portal doesn't count) |
| MUL-T | Beat the first level 5 times (not counting teleport) |
| Engineer | Beat 30 levels |
| Mercenary | Go through a Celestial Teleporter (spawns on loops), climb the new area and jump |
| Artificer / Mage | Save 11 lunar coins: donate 1 to a Newt Statue ('A blue orb has appeared' appears), finish the level without teleporting, find the blue portal and buy the character for 10 lunar coins in a special shop |
Mercenary detail: Sacrifice yourself to an obelisk — you need to luck into a 'A celestial orb has appeared' message in chat. Kill the boss before the teleporter is powered up; a white-blue portal takes you to the obelisk, and killing yourself there unlocks the Mercenary.
Artificer detail: Lunar coins drop rarely from enemies and carry between runs. To open the blue portal, donate a coin to a Newt Statue; once open, activate the teleporter and beat the boss before it's 99% charged, then enter the bazaar to unlock the class.
