The cheats below are for the original (classic) Resident Evil 2.
1.Alternate Costumes
Start a new game on Normal and pick up nothing. At the gate to the police station, go down the stairs; there you'll find Brad Vickers, the pilot from Resident Evil, as a zombie. Head past him, go up the stairs and grab the herb from the bushes closest to the stairs. Enter the R.P.D. and get the bullets at the desk in the back. Return to Brad and fill him with bullets, inspect him and take the special key. In the dark room, use the key on a locker to get the costumes. (Claire: denim jacket + Colt S.A.A.; Leon: a leather jacket with a skull, or a tank top + baseball hat.) Note: the quickest way to kill Brad is to get close and walk backwards; when he lunges at your feet, stomp his head.
2.Infinite Weapons (requires 'A' rank)
- Infinite SMG: On Normal, complete any reversed game without using a First Aid spray.
- Infinite Gatling: On Normal, complete any reversed game without saving.
- Rocket Launcher: Complete all 4 scenarios each in 2h30m or less on Normal with an 'A' rank.
3.Characters
- Play as Hunk: Beat all four scenarios with an 'A' rank.
- Play as Mr. Tofu: Beat the game 6 times with an 'A' rank each time.
- Play as Akuma: At the computer in the B games, when it says 'Enter Guest=', enter
AKUMA.
4.Other
- 1-hit Gator Kill: During the gator boss, when you see a yellow light on the left wall, inspect it; it falls and the gator eats it. Shoot the light while it's in his mouth and the gator explodes.
