Tips for American Truck Simulator.
1.Easy Money
Have your own truck and two hired drivers. From drivers on the road, pick the one with the longest travel time; go to his truck and he'll abandon your transport, which is sent to your garage.
A second way is a 'time pass': have a garage at each end of the map and several drivers with trucks. Use fast travel from the garage manager to pass time; your workers get paid for successful deliveries. The more drivers, the more you earn.
2.Free Fuel
After refuelling at a service station, save and exit instead of driving away. Reload and drive off — the game forgets to charge you for the fuel.
3.Interest-Free Loans
If you need less than 400,000, don't use the single 400,000 loan. Take 4 loans of 100,000 instead. Interest is charged just before noon each day; before it's charged, take a new 100,000 loan and pay off one old loan. Repeat 3 times. Once noon passes, you're not charged interest. Build up cash and pay off the loans one by one.
4.Achievement Tips
- Cheers!: Do 3 deliveries for 'Darchelle Yzau' from their California vineyards (near Carlsbad, San Rafael, Eureka).
- Sea dog: Deliver any cargo to Oakland Shippers (Port of San Francisco; a bottle-like icon west-southwest of Oakland).
- Gold fever: Deliver any cargo to Coastline Mining (east of Carson City, northwest of Elko); damage/time/fines don't matter.
- High five: Reach at least level 2 in the Long Distance skill for 600+ mile offers, take a Standard (one green arrow) delivery, drive without damage or fines (use Cruise Control and the speed indicator).
5.Truck Dealers (open Mon-Sat, 8:00-18:00)
California: Bakersfield (Peterbilt), Los Angeles (Kenworth), San Diego (Peterbilt). Nevada: Elko (Kenworth), Reno (Peterbilt).
